Not Alone

One day when you realize you are all alone
You will realize it has always been you alone, and your many other masked-face selves
You will weep and there will be no soul to wipe away your tears
In your voiceless shouts, you will ask the obvious question "why me?"
and neither Jack nor Jill will be present to answer
I too, would not be there, to answer

Slowly as you approach the junction of options, you would have to decide
Whether to gather yourself and look to Christ
Or perhaps sip on some mild poison and look to death
Or oh maybe walk back into the arms of the world
because you definitely know that they will receive you warmly into your past of filth
But in all this misery remember no man was meant to be there for you at all times except for everyone's Man who promised to be with us in our wilderness
Yes, He never promised it will be easy but then
He promised to be our Emmanuel, so that in the end,
we can also lend a helping hand and drag a soul out of its anticipated doom
